Developed by ICD and BBI, the 11x11cm slide changer was designed to fit directly to the Emil Niethammer (Stuttgart, Germany) line of HMI projectors. It provided a magazine for 24 metal framed glass slides, and had a peak cycle time of one slide per second. At its slowest cycle time the acoustic noise produced was less than 35 db A at 1 meter. ICD developed the 80C517A based 3 axis digital motion control system that controlled the slide changer and the "cat's eye" douser located between the lens elements, as well as all of the operating software. Control was through a local LCD panel based operator interface, and remotely via DMX-512, MIDI and RS-232 ASCII. We are not aware of any company currently supporting the Niethammer 11x11cm Slide Changer. |
